North Georgia Regional Crosscut Course – October 27-29, 2026
The USDA USFS, the Appalachian Trail Conservancy (ATC), and the Southern Appalachian Wilderness Stewards (SAWS) are hosting a crosscut A/B certification and recertification course October 27-29, 2026
Why? To build capacity for wilderness stewardship for agency staff, partners, and volunteers.
What? Crosscut A/B, Crosscut Bucking
There are 25 available spaces.
Where?
Location: Chattooga River Ranger Station – Classroom session: Tuesday, October 27
Field Sessions: Wednesday October 28 and Thursday October 29
Location: Lake Russell Recreation Area. Camping will be available at Lake Russell Recreation Area.
