The USDA USFS, the Appalachian Trail Conservancy (ATC), and the Southern Appalachian Wilderness Stewards (SAWS) are hosting a crosscut A/B certification course November 20-22, 2024
Why? To build capacity for wilderness stewardship for agency staff, partners, and volunteers.
What? Crosscut A/B, Crosscut Bucking
There are 20 available spaces.

- Classroom session: Wednesday November 20th 9 am – 5 pm
- Wildlife Field near Lake Winfield Scott
- Field Sessions: Thursday November 21st and Friday November 22nd

Course layout and expectations:
Crosscut A/B course: Students are expected to attend classroom and field portions of the A/B course starting at 9 am on Wednesday, November 20th. All participants must have current First Aid and CPR certifications.

Expect courses to begin at 9 am and end by 5 pm daily.
